A YEAR IN PHOTOS.......

once again, way behind on the "blog post thing".....been busy with "horse stuff", but more on that later......first    fotolog.com/mariemyler   ......I have heard of this before but it was not until I saw the post on another blogger and  photographer Tracie Stier-Johnson at   www.tsjphotography.com  that I  saw it in a different way, not just a place to place a photo but that each photo would represent that day.   So I will post a photo each day that tells a little story about that day.....and each week will tell a bigger story...and each month....you  get the idea.  I promise not to worry about  how "good" the photo is just get one in ....after a year you have  "a year in photos"......   ok  go check it outwww.fotolog.com/mariemyler

POLO

Since we were  snowed in yesterday, I  made good on my new years resolution.....which incase you missed that post.....is to ORGANIZE.  So I  sat at the computer,  cup of hot tea, and did some sorting.  Thought I would share these photos of warmer and greener times.  This is the Milwaukee Polo Club, and the rider in the middle is Margie Paur, who not only rides with the polo club, but operates a wonderful equine facility in Richfield, WI  called Hillside Farm.  Check out the web site  www.hillsidefarmllc.com   She offers polo instruction for all ages, as well as other riding disciplines.  See the whole gallery of photos at    www.mariemyler.smugmug.com

SNOWING.....

Yes, it is snowing here in the midwest......I wanted to post something to do with snow.  I will be spending the morning in the studio getting a very large commissioned painting  completed....I will post later when it is completed.......and than will be heading out to take photos with the fresh snow......

first monday after the holidays......Emma back in school.......miss not having her around......we did get to do some riding, art projects, movie watching, and reading.....but now i get to get into my new years resolution, and made my first "new" list today....so with the thought of "organizing" and " prioritizing".....the first thing on my list is ......buy cat food....leave you with photo for today.....Happy Monday.....

NEW YEARS RESOLUTION

ORGANIZE.... my car, house, kitchen, closets, .......my studio, my photos, my computer.....ok you get it just about everything......but first a new makeover on my office, since i spend more and more time on post process of photos...this is were i am digging in first. than the studio.......

like just about everyone else..... i have too much to do and too little time to get it done so the next thing i am working on is PRIORITIZING.........i know such big words.......but i do love making lists and i am committed to keeping these list organized......

so this takes me back to my new years resolution.....i will organize "things" so that prioritizing my life should be much quicker. i find that with my business growing, i have less time to paint, take photos, and create art, and spend more and more time with all the business stuff.

so off to find a new desk......a much bigger one...... to hold more "stuff" that i can organize, and prioritize.........not sure if this is going to work......
